Small Scale Retort

The Retort has been designed to allow the retort processing lines to be replicated in the laboratory.
A completely mobile unit and requires no steam supply which make the development of new recipes in the laboratory so easy.
The unit is suitable for normal and vacuum sealed cans and glass jars with metal lids; pouches; plastic-containers.
Full instrumentation is included which allows temperature measurement inside the can and F0-calculations to be carried out.

Controls
Temperature controlled hot water recirculator via a heat exchanger for the heating of the chamber.
All process pressures are indicated on the analogue gauges.
Water level management system.
Over pressure control and safety valves.

Operation
Cans, jars or pouches are loaded on to the shelves and the temperature probe for product is fixed in to the sample within the sterilisation chamber.
The chamber door is closed and secured and then the programme of operation is chosen from the touch panel.
When the start process button has been pressed then all controls are automatic.

Service Connections
Only an electrical supply, air and mains water connection / drain is required.
